Tourism Development in Bhutan and Tourism Industry in Bhutan
Tourism was trivial in Bhutan before 1974 but after 1974 the tourism industry in Bhutan starts developing. By publicizing the country’s unique traditions and cultures to the outside world the government generate the tourism development in Bhutan.
After this sever act of development of tourism in Bhutan the tourist visits has increased gradually. During the year 1980s tourism contributed over two million UD Dollars to the Royal Government. This way the tourism development in Bhutan starts rising.
Development of tourism in Bhutan depends on the revenue and the tourist visits. In order to develop the tourism Bhutan want to promote environment, social, and economic sustainable.
After the process of privatization the Tourism Authority for treks and cultural tours is 200USD during the high season and 165USD during the low season. There are no limits on the number of tourists’ visit in Bhutan.
Tourism development of Bhutan also depends on cultural and environment impact. Tourism of Bhutan is mainly known for its fragile mountain areas in which society’s traditional heritage also occurs these days, which brought the pressing issue in last few years.
This issue has both positive and negative qualities. The positive quality is it is getting more popular and the negative quality is they need to face the consequences. However, this affects the development of tourism in Bhutan.
Bhutan is a beautiful and profoundly spiritual country with striking mountains, vibrant Buddhist festivals and a fascinating traditional way of life. I like trekking to Bhutan very much. Thanks
