Bhutan Festival Dates 2010 (bhutanese festivals)

Bhutanese deeply involved with the religious things and they are deeply associated with their festivals and age long customs. They adore their festivals and they believe these festivals bring smile on their faces. They celebrate it with huge fanfare. Every Bhutan festival is filled with sing, dance, eat and they follow plethora customs.

For tourists, watching these Bhutan festivals will give intrigue and delightful experience. Some of the major Bhutan festivals are – Dromache, Paro festival, Jambay Lhakhang Drup, Thimpu festival, Tshechu and so on.


Bhutan festival of Tshechu is a festival that honor Guru Padsambhava (born for lotos flower), which was in practice from 800 A.D.


Bhutan festival of Thimpu is the festival for dance. the dances may either shacham or the dance of the four stag, dance of the three kinds of going, dance of the heroes, dance of the hounds and stags, dance with guitar, black dance, dance with two black hats and drum and the dance of noble men and women.


Bhutan festival of Paro is also known for dance festival and in Bhutan festival Jambay Lhakhang Drup there are wide range of mask and traditional dances are performed during this Bhutan festival and the each dance of this festival have significant meanings and importance.
